G-License Requalification
G Requalification for Armed Security Officer
Requalification for Armed Security Officer (G License). The State of Florida requires a yearly 4hr requalification to maintain your G License. Requalification must be done every year with the type of handgun you carry on duty.
Officers with a G License must requalify once a year before the date of expiration of every year. For example, if a G License expires on June 15, 2018, requalification must be completed and document submitted to the Division every year by June 15, 2017, and June 15, 2018
G License Training
G License Requalification will include classroom instruction, state mandated examination and course of fire in a shooting range. We encourage students to bring same gear used while on duty.
The Florida Department of Agriculture Division of Licensing allows the following calibers to be used on duty: 9mm, .40 .45, .380, and .38 Special caliber handguns.
